Hello Hardy

Highlights from the past week:

On Monday, we celebrated the opening of the field by having the Hardy Fun Run!

On Friday, we had an all-school meeting that was led by our Kindergarten students. Students shared about community helpers. As part of this, we had a visit from mystery guest School Resource Officer Kathy Poirier. We also had special talents on display including a Kindergartener who did a magic trick, a fourth grader who did a tumbling performance, and a fifth grader who played the violin. We also had a third grader who introduced the talents and helped lead the assembly. Great job Hardy students!

Staffing News

I’m excited to share the news that Mr. Corcoran and his husband recently adopted a new baby. Mr. Corcoran will be out on paternity leave until October. Please join me in congratulating Mr. Corcoran on this new addition to his family!

It’s with mixed emotions that I share the news that beloved Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Czyryca will be transitioning to a reading teacher position at the Sprague School for this upcoming school year. We are saddened to see Mrs. Czyryca move on from Hardy, but are appreciative of her 22 years of dedication to the students and families at the Hardy School.

Celebrating Mrs. Poole & Mrs. Czyryca

On Friday, June 6th at 8:45 AM, we will have a special assembly to recognize Mrs. Poole (who is retiring this year) and Mrs. Czyryca (who is headed to the Sprague School). All parents/guardians whose children have had Mrs. Poole or Mrs. Czyryca as a teacher (past and present) are invited to attend.

School Spirit Day

On Friday, we will have our Spirit Day for the month of May. Students are invited to wear their Hardy gear or red/black clothing to school.

Have a great week!

Respectfully yours,

Grant Smith

Principal
