Highlights from the Past Week

On Monday, we had a special CAS (Creative Arts and Sciences) assembly featuring Ball in the House. This a capella group shared about the history of music and encouraged students to participate in music. 
On Friday, we had the December Dash as students were encouraged to walk and ride bikes to school. Thanks to Mr. Guzzi for planning this event for our students.

December 17 – A Conversation with School Committee Members

Hardy parents and caregivers are invited to meet with two members of the School Committee on Wednesday, December 17 from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom. This will be an informal discussion regarding current Committee activities as well as an opportunity for Q&A. I will be in attendance, as will Superintendent David Lussier.

The School Committee has five elected members who serve 3-year terms. In addition to supporting the core values, vision and mission of the Wellesley Public Schools, the Committee’s responsibilities are to develop and manage school policies; support the allocation of resources by overseeing budget & facilities; hire and review the superintendent of schools; and advocate for the school district.

Spirit Days in December

On Friday, we’ll have our monthly School Spirit Day. Students are invited to wear their Husky gear to school.
As we head into the winter vacation, we’ll also have some additional special Spirit Days. On Monday, December 22nd, we’ll have a Crazy Hat Day.
On Tuesday, December 23rd, we’ll have a PJ Day.

Attention Parents/Guardians of Students Performing in the Holiday Concert – Mark Your Calendars!

This Friday, December 19th at 8:45 AM we will have our annual Holiday Concert. This will be by our 5th grade chorus and our instrumental music students. Parents/guardians of student performers are invited to attend, so mark your calendars.
