R.I.S.E. Poster Refresh
As we start back in the new calendar year, we have updated R.I.S.E. posters that have been put up throughout the building. These are located in classrooms, the cafeteria, hallways, bathrooms, the gym, the bus lineup waiting area, and by the doors that students use to go out to recess. As ways that students show R.I.S.E. may be space dependent, we have customized expectations for each space. For example the cafeteria R.I.S.E. posters include R- Respect- “Polite, Food Choices”, I- Include “Include Others,” S- Safety “Stay in Seat”, E- Encouragement & Effort- “Clean Up.” We hope these new posters that are now printed in color and contain simplified language will be helpful in reinforcing expectations.

Penguin Promenade Friday, Jan. 9
On Friday, we will have a Penguin Promenade walk-and-roll to school day. Students are encouraged to walk or ride their bikes to school.

Reminder: Winter Gear for Outdoor Recess When There Is Snow
As a reminder, when we have a snow-covered playground and field, students are invited to play in the snow. In order for students to be on the field and playground when snow-covered, students must have boots and snow pants. If they do not have these things, they will be expected to stay on the blacktop during recess.

Have a great week!
Respectfully yours,
