Dear Hardy families,
Highlights from the past week:
*On Wednesday, Hardy participated in the Massachusetts Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Day. Kudos to our dedicated PE teacher Mr. Guzzi for his support of this event!
*On Friday, we had a 5th grade planned Spirit Day- Mismatched Day. Students had fun wearing mismatched clothes to school including polka dots & stripes and formal & casual.

CASEL competency focus for May-June
The final CASEL competency that we will be focused on this year is that of responsible decision-making. We are defining responsible decision making as the ability to make caring and constructive choices about personal behavior and social interactions across diverse situations. The Hardy community will focus on how one’s choices and behaviors affect others. Through read-alouds, group activities, and shared language, students will learn about responsible decision making.
At home, families are encouraged to reinforce responsible decision making by:
*Model setting a short-term goal
*Help your child develop routines for completing homework or chores
*Practice resolving conflicts and making decisions with your child
*Positively reinforce good decisions
*Provide opportunities for your child to support their school or community in meeting a need
*Set clear rules and expectations

Have a great week!
