Highlights from the Past Week

On Friday, we had a Penguin Promenade as students walked and or rode their bikes to school. Thanks to Mr. Guzzi for planning this event for our school. 
On Friday, we had our monthly meeting of Class Buddies. Second and fourth graders worked on a MLK Day related activity.

School Council Update

The Hardy School Council met this past week. As part of this meeting, we discussed our ongoing efforts to re-envision the Hardy Innovation Lab. As part of this discussion, the Council firmed up elements of the proposed lab that were determined to be needed. A grant is being submitted to WEF (Wellesley Education Foundation) later this month in the hopes that WEF would fund these items. Stay tuned for more updates on the work of the School Council in future principal letters. 

Carline Reminder During Drop Off and Pick Up 

Parents/guardians doing drop off or pick up are reminded to stay in their vehicle allowing staff to assist with opening up doors for students. If a child needs assistance that requires the adult to get out of the vehicle to assist their child, they are asked to pull to the front of the line (to the point where the driver is parallel to the gym before dropping off/picking up). If a staff member approaches your vehicle to offer assistance prior to this point, simply say that you need to pull up to the front of the line to assist your child. This will allow for a more fluid and efficient carline. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Attention 2nd Grade Parents/Guardians

On Friday at 8:45 AM, we will have an All-School Meeting that will be led by our 2nd graders. Parents/guardians of 2nd graders are invited to attend.
