Hello Hardy

Dear Hardy families,

Highlights from the Past Week
During Fitness & Health classes, Mr. Guzzi did snowshoeing with 2nd-5th grade students across the Hardy field.
On Friday, we had our School Spirit Day for the month of February. Students showed off their Hardy Husky spirit!

SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) Update
In conjunction with the National SEL Day, which is taking place on March 2nd, I wanted to share an update on SEL. At Hardy, we have a dedicated SEL block, in which students are learning from the district’s Second Step Curriculum. We also have a daily morning meeting, which is focused on building SEL skills in the context of classroom community. Want to learn more about social-emotional learning?

Snowflake
Winter gear for outdoor recess when there is snow reminder
As another reminder, when we have a snow covered playground and field, students are invited to play in the snow. In order for students to be on the field and playground when snow covered, students must have boots and snowpants. If they do not have these things, they will be expected to stay on the blacktop during recess.
Have a great week!

Respectfully yours,

Grant Smith

Principal
