Dear Hardy families,
Highlights from the Past Week
On Friday, we had an all-school meeting led by fourth graders. Students learned about the importance of showing kindness. We also had our first talents of the year as two students shared their skills on the piano and one student showed off his talent making finger animals using his hands.
Save the Date: Pumpkin Parade Oct. 30
On Friday, October 30, at 8:45 AM, we will have our annual Pumpkin Parade. We’ll also have a special school-wide Pajama Day to add to the fun! Students are invited to decorate pumpkins in any way they want- real or fake pumpkin is fine! Students are to bring pumpkins with them to school on the 30th. Staff will be on hand at arrival to take pumpkins from students and arrange by class. Parents/guardians are invited to view these pumpkins. Come to the outside of the front of the building starting at 8:45 AM for this event. Class pumpkins will be placed together. Students will parade through our line of amazing pumpkins!
Bike Route onto School Property
With our newly positioned fencing enclosing the playground and field area into one continuous play space, we are reminding families that students and their adult caretakers on bikes are asked to enter the school property at the corner of Weston Rd. and Hardy Rd. At this point, students and adults are asked to get off their bikes and walk their bikes along the sidewalk that is parallel to the bus/van drop off lane to the bike racks. Therefore, no bikes should be going through or along the side of the staff parking lot. Also no bikes should be entering the gated playground/field area. As such, no bike riders should be using the path that runs between the field and playground. For bike riders coming onto the property from adjoining side streets, such as Hickory Rd. and Lawrence Rd, they are asked to walk their bikes across the front plaza of the school to the bike racks. Thank you for your cooperation.
