“Honor the leap as well as the landing.” Shannon Donavan-Monti
Fiske Families,A year ago I was sitting on a hay bale, in a forest, holding a light on a scary Halloween scene while it rained.  Why?  It was my daughter’s high school haunted hayride and I volunteered to help out.  After 4 hours, the shift was over I got into my warm car to go home and promised myself this would be the last time.  A year has gone by and guess where I will be tomorrow night?  Yes, volunteering at the hayride.
Over the past two months I have met with the PTO Board, Wild West Committee, Creative Arts Committee, STEM Committee, Fiske Directory Committee, BOKS Coordinators, and School Council to discuss programs at Fiske.  The volunteerism and amazing support that the parents and guardians provide is what makes Fiske a wonderful community and place for our students to grow.  Thank you for your continued support!
October is fire safety Month!

Today the Kindergarten and first grade classes attended a fire safety program presented by Lieutenant Corda and Lieutenant Delany.  Students participated in demonstrations of how to crawl through a smoky room, what a fireman looks like in a fire suit and how to stop, drop, and roll.  Please remember to ask your students about the program.
