Dear Fiske Families,
The Fiske Falcons had another great turnout for Walk to School Day. Thank you to Christina Gerst, Julie Verret, Betsy Hindmarsh and the entire Student Council for organizing such a fun event. I personally enjoyed walking around the field with several children and chatting with them about their hobbies. What a wonderful way to start the day. The class with the most participants walking to school was 3H. They are the proud winners of the golden sneaker and a free Fitness and Health class.
Hour of Code
This week many Fiske students joined people all over the world who are participating in the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is an effort to get every student to try coding. More than 100 million students around the world have participated! This movement was started by Code.org to provide every student in every school the opportunity to learn computer science. Computer science is a foundation for every student. Many kids love to play games and apps. Now they can learn how to CREATE games, apps and programs! Band, Orchestra and Chorus concert
Please join us for the band, orchestra and chorus concert on Wednesday, December 20th at 8:45 a.m. This concert is always such an incredible display of the musical talents of our children. We hope to see you there.
School Arrival Time
It has been noticed that several children arrive late to school each day. Please be aware that the bell for students to line up and enter the building rings at 8:27 a.m. All students are in the building by 8:30 a.m. and have started class by 8:35 a.m. It is important for students to arrive to school on time to start their day with their peers. Please make every effort to have your child/children in the door by 8:30 a.m.
