Dear Fiske Families,
Thank you to Megan LeBlanc and all her volunteers for hosting the second annual new book fair. Last call for the book fair is today, Friday, March 23, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Then please join the PTO for games and pizza from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Much to our dismay we had to postpone Fiske Reads for a storm that never happened. The new date is Thursday, April 26th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Please mark your calendar for this wonderful evening of celebrating our many cultures through books.
This year it has been noticed that parents/guardians have been parking on Hastings Street in front of the lower parking lot. This is making it very dangerous for children to cross the street and extremely difficult for the busses to make the turn from Madison Street to Hastings Street. We recommend that all drivers use the car line to pick up their children. Children leave the school building at 3:05 and by 3:15 the car line is finished.
A quick note, if you are sending a babysitter or grandparent to pick up your child that is not familiar with the car line, please share the following rules with them.

Place your family name card in the right side of your windshield.

Remain in your car at all times.

Remain in a single file car line.

All cars picking up children in the front of the school will be directed by a teacher to move their vehicle to the front of the car line.

Once all cars are stopped, children will be instructed by a staff member to get in their car on the curbside of the car.

Once all children have entered their cars, drivers will be directed to exit the parking lot.

For safety reasons, do not pull out of the car line to leave the parking lot.
THE SCIENCE FAIR IS COMING!
Calling all scientists! The third annual Fiske Science Fair will be held on Saturday, April 7th from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Fiske gym. Please encourage your child/children to be part of this Fisketastic event. For more details on preparation timeline for the Science Fair, please visit the Science Fair website: https://sites.google.com/site/fiskesf/. We are also looking for volunteers to help during the Science Fair. Interested parents/guardians/staff, you can sign-up here.
