Fiske Falcon

Fiske Families,

First let me thank you for  your well wishes.  I appreciate your kindness and am very grateful to work in such a caring community.

Thank you to all those who attended our first PTO meeting of the year.  For more information about the Fiske PTO and how you can be a part of this great organization please visit their website.

Our dismissal procedure is moving along.  The first two days it took 20+ minutes to complete the car line, this week it is moving with greater ease.  Please remember that at both pick up and drop off we ask that parents/guardians or caregivers remain in their car as the child/children enters or exits the car.  We also ask that children exit and enter  on the right side of the car and not on the left where there is moving traffic. This is for the safety of all children.

There is no school on Monday, October 12th  in observance of Columbus Day. Cohort A students will be coming into school on Wednesday, October 14th for a full day of learning. Cohort B students will be learning from home. Kindergarten and first grade classes will also come to school on Wednesday, October 14th for a full day of learning.   All cohorts and classes will be following their typical Monday schedule.  Thank you

Election Day will be on Tuesday, November 3rd and all students will be participating in an early release online learning day.  On Wednesday, November 4th Cohort B students will be attending school in-person and Cohort A will be learning from home.  Kindergarten and First grade classes will also come to  school on Wednesday, November 4th for a full day of learning.

Wednesday, October 21st from 6:00-7:30 p.m. our teaches will be hosting back-to-school night.  The classroom meetings will be via Zoom. Families will have the opportunity to see their child/children’s teacher’s live presentation via Zoom.  Specialists and the Principal will provide asynchronous presentations to introduce themselves and review the curriculum for the school year. While we can not be in person, it will be a wonderful night to review the learning at each grade level.  More information will be forthcoming.

Our incredible art teacher, Marie Cosgrove,  is continuing with her fisketastic.art instagram page.  Please join and see the incredible artwork our students are creating.

Please see our district website for posted COVID-19 information. This site has a wealth of information regarding our guidelines regarding this pandemic.
