Fiske Families,

Thank you to the auction Co-Chairs, Summer Hawkins and Shannon Smith , for the incredible work they did in organizing the first Fiske S.T.E.A.M fair.  We had over 27 students participating and many more that came to see their displays.  It was an amazing day.  Thank you to our science experts for volunteering their time and knowledge:

  • Dawei Chen, Professor in Mathematics Department, Boston College

  •  Arvin Iracheta-Vellve, Science Research, Astrazeneca,

  • Susie Huang, MD, PhD, Massachusetts General, Harvard Medical School, Neuroradiologist and work in research focusing on brain imaging technology development

  • Scott Barton, Associate Professor, Arts, Communications, and Humanities, Worcester Polytechnic Institute

  • Dr. Sarah Housman, Physician

  • Dr. Lizzy Housman, Physician

  • Summer Hawkins, Associate Professor and Epidemiologist, Boston College

Thank you Mrs. Gerst for an  amazing field day.  Mrs. Gerst starts the planning for this event during the first week of school.  She spends days creating and planning games, then  teaching the  students the activities for this fun day.  We are truly grateful for all the work she puts in to assure our students have an amazing day. Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help on this very special day.

Thank you to Nerine Warasta and Teresa Peters for organizing the Fiske Used Bookfair.  Thank you to all the families for their donations of books and time to make this happen for our children. The  children were able to purchase lots of books for summer reading.

More fun is coming…

Music Around the World-June 1 – 8:45 Grades  K-2 parents and 10:45 Grades 3-5 parents

All students in grades K-5 will be performing songs and dances from seven different countries. As we can expect this concert to be very popular, we have decided to run two complete performances. Each performance will be a full production. In order to lower the number of audience members,  we are asking parents of students in grades K-2 to attend the 8:45a.m.  performance and parents of students in grades 3-5 to attend the 10:45 a.m. performance. We are requesting  parents and guardians to wear masks given the number of people who will be attending the performances. Both performances are identical,   please choose only 1 performance to attend  if you have children that span over the K-2 and 3-5 grade levels.

SAVE THE DAY FOR THE FISKE FAMILY YEAR-END PICNIC!

Wednesday, June 15th @ Fiske Fields  5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Bring your blanket, dinner and family to celebrate another fabulous year at Fiske! Music and popsicles will be provided for all to enjoy.
