MCAS release
Parents will be receiving the MCAS parent/Guardian Reports via US mail by Tuesday, September 30, 2014.  If you have any questions regarding the results please feel free to contact me. I will be sharing the results with the community at a later date.  Dr. Lussier will share the overall results with the school committee on Tuesday, September 30.

Student Handbook:

The Hardy Student Handbook has been updated and is now available on the Hardy Web page.  I encourage you to review the handbook and share it with your child.  The Handbook covers everything from pets in school, school hours to arrival procedures.  In addition to the Hardy Student Handbook there are many other resources that are available on the Wellesley Public School web page including school committee policies.  If you have any questions please let me know.

Behavioral Rubric and Consequence Chart:
The Hardy Student Handbook contains the Hardy School Behavioral Rubric and Hardy School Consequences.  The Rubric and Consequence chart are the result of ongoing consultation and work with Stan Davis.  All of the elementary schools have had the experience of working with Stan Davis to develop school based expectations and consequences.

Occasionally, students may demonstrate unexpected behavior. When this happens, the Hardy staff will follow through using the behavioral guidelines and consequences listed in the Student Handbook.  I encourage you to review this with your child and if you have any questions please give me a call.

Hardy Students are taking full advantage of instructional time!
The feedback about the Tardy Guidelines has been very positive.  Students are learning the importance of getting to school on time to start their day in a positive way and the teachers are able to start instruction right away.  Thank you to all the families for your support in this matter.

One reminder, if you do walk your child into school it is important that you check into the office and then have your child walk to class on their own.  We do this to ensure a safe environment but the students also like to feel a sense of independence and confidence.
