Hello Hardy Families:
Parent-Teacher conferences will begin on Tuesday Nov. 5th. During your conference, your child’s teacher will be sharing your child’s progress and goals in addition to hearing from you.
As you know we are transitioning to a Standards Based Report Card this year so you may have some questions about that. I ask that you save those questions for a different time. The district has provided and will provide additional SBRC informational sessions to parents. There will also be a link to some video clips on the district website explaining many of the how and why questions you may have. I will also share some sessions to help parents understand the new Standard Based Report Cards before they come out in January and after they are sent home. Standard Based Report Cards are new to many so it will take some patience and practice in using them. Please do not hesitate to ask me about the new Standard Based Report Cards. Your time is precious so I don’t want you spending Parent-Teacher time learning about the report card but rather learning about how your child is doing this year. At the end of your parent-teacher conference, your child’s teacher will give you a brochure explaining the Standard Based Report Card and an example of one from your child’s grade level.
