Hello Hardy Families

On Wednesday, students took part in a virtual presentation led by Merritt Moore. This presentation was part of a computer science focus in which Merritt (who has a background in both dance and computer science) demonstrated how she used coding to make robots dance. Hopefully this inspired our students to see the value of computer science in our world.

Also on Wednesday, a group of Hardy students did a community service project, singing holiday carols to seniors who reside at the Elizabeth Seton Residence. Kudos to music teacher Mr. Corcoran for leading students!

On Friday, we had a special Project Build Hardy Assembly.

ROJECT BUILD HARDY
As part of our monthly theme of construction (general), on Friday, we had a special assembly led by Lauren Slaven, Senior Superintendent of the Hardy construction project from Shawmut Construction. Lauren shared: Who am I? (Lauren’s background), Why construction? (What led Lauren into the field of construction), Timeline for construction for the Hardy project, Logistics, Project Safety, and How They Do It. As a follow up to this assembly, students are completing classroom based activities designed to reinforce construction-related concepts.
