Highlight from the past week
On Friday, we had a 5th grade planned Spirit Day as students wore their favorite colors to school.
Hardy Construction Phase begins reminder
As a reminder to the email sent out last week, tomorrow we are beginning the construction phase for the new Hardy School. For parents who missed this presentation, please see the recorded video from this presentation:

Week of Feb. 13th:
*Walkers from Hickory/Lawrence to/from school: Use regular paths that cut across back field
*For outdoor arrival, during the 8:15-8:25 AM, students will congregate in the area by the basketball court and play in the adjacent grassy areas. At 8:25 AM, we’ll line students up in their regular lines and lead them into the building for our 8:30 AM.
*For outdoor recess: we will be using the newly defined areas that are shown in the video link.
*For parents/caregivers doing car pick up at the end of the day, please do not arrive until after 2:30 PM (M, Tu, Th, F) and after 11:30 AM (W). This will allow us the time to transition from recess mode to dismissal carline mode.
Week of Feb. 27th (after vacation):
*Walkers from Hickory/Lawrence to/from school: Use newly established path that will be positioned around the perimeter of the construction site.
Second Step lessons
As part of the district’s commitment to Social-Emotional Learning, we are piloting a series of lessons from the program Second Step in classrooms. See link for more information: SS parent letter
Reminder about car pick up- last name cards
As a reminder, parents and caregivers are asked to use the last name card in their car window during pick up. If you have misplaced the one that was sent from the school, please make a replacement card by hand. Thanks for your cooperation.
School Spirit Day
This upcoming Friday, we’ll have our next School Spirit Day. Students are invited to wear their Husky or Hawks gear to school.
