Dear Hunnewell,
What a difference a day makes. I don’t remember the last time I saw that much rain. It is nice to see the sun.
A number of parents have reached out about the arrival and dismissal plans at Hunnewell in order to make an informed decision on whether to continue with bus transportation. Kristyn and I will be updating the Hunnewell Insider’s Guide and will be sharing that out with everyone in late January. I do think it is important for families to know that Cameron Street Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:45-8:45AM will be an active car-line and parking will be prohibited. The same will be true from 2:30-3:30PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 11:30-12:30 on Wednesday. Parking will still be allowed on the north side of Hampden and on the east side of Brooke St between Amherst and the Methodist Church. You can park in the Cameron Street lot from 2:45-3:30 during dismissal hours without getting a ticket. Parking or dropping off and picking up children in the Wellesley Free Library will be strictly prohibited.
I recognize having a longer car-line is a shift in procedure for all of us. We do plan to have enough staff outside in the morning and afternoon to make the car line safe and efficient.
