Dear Hunnewell,

Thank you for joining us this morning for the ribbon-cutting ceremony! It was so great to be back together again! We had a great first day back! The weather could not have been any better!

We did experience some growing pains at dismissal, which is to be expected. Here are a few reminders.

K, 1 and 2 will be picked up at their neighborhood doors. The only way to access the neighborhood doors is walking around the playground side of the building. If you have third graders, your third grader will be with their younger sibling. You cannot dismiss your child in the car-line and then come pick them up from the car-line. They need to be picked up as a walker from their neighborhood door.

Third graders can get picked up at the door on the library side of the building. If you want to use the playground after this, you need to walk your child around the front of the building, staying inside the granite bollards.

Cameron St. is a moving car-line. You cannot park on Cameron to pick-up your child. Unfortunately, we had some neighbors waiting to pick-up students from Dana Hall, and so they parked there. We have another call into Dana to remind them of this change. Sorry for the confusion this caused all of you who tried to follow the dismissal routine.

It is imperative that you update Pick-Up Patrol Daily. We have 200 plus students that need to be dismissed safely. Please help us by letting your child know their dismissal plans and letting us know your dismissal plans in the Pick-Up Patrol App.

Unless you are dropping off a child for the Before School Program before 7:30, no parent should enter or use the parking lot, unless they are accessing the handicap accessible parking.

Thank you for sharing these plans with any caregivers that are picking up your child.

Finally, if you did not get an orange car-line sign, please let us know and we can send one home with your child.

Thank you again for your help as we navigate these new procedures together.

Sincerely,

Ellen
