Dear Sprague Community

The Cookie Walk was a big success. Many thanks go to all who baked, attended, planned, and worked to make the event so much fun!

Our Day of Play will take place tomorrow. We have many recycled items available in our alcove and can always use more to provide more choices for our students’ creative minds. Often students are challenged to plan an idea, create something to play with, wear, or that does a job. A few classes will also have a specific challenge in addition to original creations. Please feel free to bring more recycled items tomorrow if you wish. Thank you!

Our Blanket Project is almost finished! Each class is completing a ‘No Sew’ blanket by tying knots around the edge of the fabric. Thanks to the parents and teachers who prepped the projects by cutting the edges for us. It sure made it easier to do on our end! Kids are very happy to be giving the blankets to our neighbors at the Newton-Wellesley Alzheimer’s Unit next door. The Activities director was very appreciative of our project. Two students from each class will walk across the parking lot with us to deliver the blankets on Thursday. Special thanks to parent Eileen Brackenbury for coordinating this project. Thanks also to the families who made a blanket at home to donate.
