The School Building Committee invites you to come hear about the progress, learn more about the process and next steps, and engage with the Committee and project consultant

Topics will include: The approved educational plan; standards for modern elementary school facilities; the requirements and process for building with the Massachusetts School Building Authority; the criteria for determining whether to build at Hardy or Upham with the MSBA; aspects of each site; and preliminary concepts under consideration.

Oak Street Crossing Guard

Barbara the crossing guard, is going to be out for quite some time
-
The Wellesley Police Department will cover the crossing from now until January 17th, 2020
-
Starting January 21st, there will be no coverage at the Oak Street crossing
-
Due to many crossing guard vacancies, the WPD is unavailable to cover all of them at this time
-
It is not yet clear when Barbara will be returning
-
If anyone is interested in becoming a crossing guard, please notify the police department!

Thank you for calling the absentee line when your child is absent

When calling in sick, please leave the detailed reason or illness type (i.e. has tested (+) for the FLU, has strep, a fever, the stomach bug, conjunctivitis, or has another specific viral illness

These specifics will help keep track of the illnesses we are seeing here at Sprague and may assist with prevention measures

A student must be fever free without fever reducing medication for 24 hours to return to school

Redistricting Community Forums

Please join the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on Redistricting

Goals are to review and provide feedback on the draft redistricting plans under development for implementation after the construction of the new elementary schools, currently projected for fall of 2024
-
Forums are scheduled on the following dates:
- Wed., January 22, 2020 at 7 pm
- Tues., January 28, 2020 at 9 am
- Both forums will be held in the Wellesley Middle School Auditorium.
