Dear Sprague,
Hello. You continue to be in my daily thoughts.
After enjoying a long weekend that shifted your attention away from remote learning to something that allowed for fresh air, relaxation of some type, and time with your loved ones in creative ways, we enter a new week of Remote 2.0. As the sun works its magic, the beautiful flowers in gardens and on tree tops continue to spring up to send us a subtle message that a new season is here, which means new beginnings and better days. Please remember to seek today’s silver lining(s) as they are waiting to be found!
As we enter a new week of a new normal, remote learning resumes, Zoom meetings are rampant, and our list of questions without quick answers grows. Many across the Commonwealth patiently await the Governor’s pending decision on returning to school or an extended closure. We will wait patiently for his announcement while our work continues.
On occasion over the years, we have been caught cursing technology in some fashion. During this chapter of our lifetime, we are most grateful for the opportunities that technology has afforded us to connect with loved ones. I am thankful for technology, which has provided me with multiple opportunities to join classroom Morning Meetings in order to connect with the students I love and miss terribly. Technology will also grant me opportunities to see beloved Sprague parents/guardians to say hello, address our current circumstances, and work to answer questions based on weeks of various remote experiences.
Please see the following parent/guardian invites for virtual Parent Coffees the week of April 27th. A Zoom invitation will be sent via email to the parent groups below prior to the scheduled meeting day/time.
Parents/Guardians of Kindergarten/Grade One Students Tuesday, April 28th 6:30 pm
Parents/Guardians of Grade Two/Grade Three Students Wednesday, April 29th 6:30 pm
Parents/Guardians of Grade Four/Grade Five Students Thursday, April 30th 6:30 pm
Until then, please know my virtual door is always open. Sending you health and warm thoughts.
Love,
Leigh
