Dear Sprague,
Hello. In a year full of restrictions, our students have been nothing but resilient, understanding, and strong! The proud principal continues to be in awe of each one of them. On top of restrictions, we inserted standardized testing for our students in grades 3-5. I will say….wow! Congratulations, grades 3-5, on your fierce determination. Great work, Sprague School!
Lunches
-
As of Thursday, we resumed lunches outside
-
Unlike the fall, the outdoor lunch area (labyrinth) is wide open to direct sunlight
-
The tents will not be returning
-
I encourage you to bring your child with sunscreen/hat
-
I will also add that as the temperatures rise, so will the temperature levels on the concrete
-
As a result, there may be a need to return to indoor lunches (in the gym) if temperatures prove to be a challenge
-
When outside for lunch for these two days, the following was often heard from many, “It is so hot out here.” Wondering who said that….?(he, he!)

Field 1.5 Hour (Day)
-
June 8th – kindergarten and grade one – morning
-
June 8th – grades two and three – afternoon
-
June 9th – grades four and five – morning
-
Each event will be approximately 1.5 hours hence Field 1.5 (Day)
-
It has been a collaborative district decision that this will be an event of a much smaller scale
-
Unfortunately it has also been determined that it will be an internal event only – no spectators or volunteers from outside the building
-
Aligning with all other goals this particular year, our focus is on maintaining and adhering to our health and safety protocols
-
Thank you for your continued support and understanding on this topic along with all other topics
