Dear Sprague Families,

Happy New Year!  The Sprague staff and I were thrilled to return today and greet students.  The vacation was lovely in all ways, but it is always nice to be back in the school routine.  Welcome back to all!

The WPS before school Breakfast Program officially begins next week – starting Tuesday, January 7th.   

Your help and support is needed, please.  Being a new program, tweaks and revisions will be necessary.  Please carefully read through the information/details below as your support is appreciated.

Breakfast Program – Version 1 (revisions may be needed)

When:

  • 8:15 am to 8:30 am 

  • Starts Tuesday, January 7, 2025

  • 5x days per week

Where:

  • Students will eat in the cafeteria with adult supervision

How:

  • Breakfast is free to all students/families

  • Students must come to the front door – parents interested in having their child(ren) have breakfast at school will be respectfully asked to have students arrive at Sprague by 8:15 am

  • Students will walk to the cafeteria to retrieve and eat breakfast 

  • There will be an adult monitoring the cafeteria

  • Students will be dismissed from the cafeteria to arrive to classrooms by 8:30 am

  • If students are eating breakfast, they will remain in the cafeteria to eat until it is time to be dismissed to class – students will not be part of the morning recess allowing them time to eat

  • Breakfast will stop being served at 8:30 am

  • Breakfast is free to all students

  • If your child has a food allergy, and you plan on participating in the breakfast program, it is imperative that you check the menu and ingredients list ahead of time for potential allergens.  Please review safe food choices with your child.  As with any new program, there may be some bumps in the road.  Our goal is to avoid any potential allergic situations and we need your support in doing so, please.
