Dear Sprague Families,

Being hearty New Englanders, a little (ok….a lot of rain) along with many mosquitoes cannot slow any of us down.  I hope everyone continues to jump in the rain puddles, spray the last bit of bug spray from the bottle, lick ice cream cones like they were the last cones on earth, and enjoy everything the summer has to offer.  There is plenty of it remaining!

COVID-19 Practices and Procedures

  • WPS continues to work and collaborate with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), The Department of Public Health, and The Wellesley Health Department on all topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on schools

  • Per the email sent on Friday, July 30th from the Town of Wellesley Health Department, “Wellesley Public Schools officials are reviewing the new recommendations and working closely with the Health Department as they continue to plan for a full, in-person return to school for 2021-2022. “We want to be as responsive as possible to the evolution of the virus in our ongoing planning for the fall,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Lussier. Representatives from the School Department will be discussing this updated guidance at the Board of Health meeting on Wednesday, August 4th at noon.”

  • As the month of August moves forward, there will certainly be more communication related to this important topic and the full, in-person return to school

Dates

  • Please see the above September dates

Please continue to enjoy time spent with family and friends under a scattered sun!  I look forward to more active communication as the month of August moves forward.

Until then,

Leigh
