Fiske Families,

STEAM Week 2022 (October 17021) is here!  On Wednesday we had a wonderful visit from WPD  Chief Pilecki, PreK-5 Director of Libraries and Innovations Mrs.Carlson and PreK-5 Department Head of Science Carolyn Collins. They came to our assembly to talk about sustainability efforts at the Wellesley Police Department and throughout our town. Did you know that the WPD now has hybrid vehicles and a bicycle repair station outside of the police station.  Next week our students will be exploring ways they can make small changes to help our environment. Parents and guardians are invited to join us for our annual Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31st at 8:45 a.m.   If your child/children is/are participating in the parade, costumes should reflect our Fiske Fundamentals; Fair, Inclusive, Safe, Kind and Encouraging. Children should not wear costumes that promote stereotypes or bias towards any groups of people.  In addition, children should not wear masks, wigs or face paint.  We also  ask that all props are left at home.

Please inform your child’s classroom teacher if  they prefer to not walk in the parade.  A fall activity will take place in the library for students who are not participating in the parade.
