Fiske Families,
This Wednesday our entire school came together for an assembly. During our time together we discussed the Fiske Fundamentals; Fair, Inclusive, Safe, Kind and Encouraging. Our amazing Student Council created a video demonstrating how we use these fundamentals at school each day. We also discussed the importance of showing respect to peers, teachers and staff. As a community, we are now creating a display demonstrating why we like being a Fiske Falcon. I will send a picture of our finished product next Friday.
Winter Concert
The Fiske Winter Concert is on Wednesday, December 14th at 8:45 a.m. Fifth grade chorus, band and orchestra will be playing music for all to enjoy. Please come and see our musicians perform.
PTO Meeting with the Wellesley School Committee-Thursday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Please come to our Fiske PTO Meeting with School Committee Vice Chair Linda Chow and Secretary Craig Mack. We will gather in person(there will be a Zoom option), meet with our PTO Board and have a Zoom conversation with these School Committee Members. All are welcome to send questions for the school committee to mcgregorr@wellesleyps.org and they will be forwarded to the committee members.
Bookfair
The book fair is coming, the book fair is coming! Monday,December 12th-Friday, December 16th children will have the opportunity to purchase books or create a wish list during their library period. Parents/guardians will have an opportunity to purchase books on Thursday, December 15th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. before the PTO meeting. If needed, please contact our Social Worker, Michelle DeSantis, for information about financial assistance for your child to purchase books. desantism@wellesleyps.org
Literacy Information Session -Hold the Date!
On Monday, December 19 at 8:45 a.m. our amazing PreK-5 Department Head of Literacy, Jenn Friedman, and Fiske Literacy Specialist, Kristin Stoetzel, will be hosting a literacy information session for Fiske parents/guardians. This will be an in person event with a Zoom option. Please come and hear how we are teaching reading and writing in our WPS Elementary Schools.
