Dear Fiske Families,
Thank you for all of your patience on our rainy opening day. On Thursday a student said to me, “This is a do over day Mrs. McGregor.” I agree, Thursday was a perfect weather day for a first day arrival. As always, our Fiske parents and guardians were supportive and helped make our first day great rain or shine.
Thank you to Jen Heintzelman, Jen Cohn and Maggie Gentry for hosting our Kindergarten and New Families Lemonade Party. It was such a wonderful way to welcome our newest families to Fiske.
PTO Meeting
Come join us for our first Hybrid PTO meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 5 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. We will meet in person with a Zoom option. The PTO will be discussing art and music, bus routes, SEL programming and so much more. Please come and hear all about our amazing school!

Walk to School
On Wednesday, September 6th our Fiske School will be hosting the first Walk to School Day of the year. Grab your sneakers and walk to school with all your family and friends. Students who ride a bus will also be able to join in the fun. At 8:15 a.m. bus students will be encouraged to walk two times around the marked area on the back field. It is a wonderful way to start the day so please join us for our first Walk to School Day of the year.
Reminders

Please be sure to write your child’s name on all water bottles and clothing. It has been just three days of school and we are already building a big collection of these items.

If you are using morning carline do not let your child out of the car until you see a Fiske staff member directing the line.

6:25-6:55p.m. Kindergarten – Grade Two parents/guardians will meet with their child/children’s classroom teacher

6:25-6:55 p.m.- Grade 3-5 Parents will meet the specialists and PTO Representatives in the gymnasium

7:00-7:30 p.m. Grade 3-5 parents/guardians will meet with their child/children’s classroom teacher

Fiske Western Round-Up
The Fiske Western Round-Up is just around the corner on Saturday, September 30, 2023. This is a wonderful Fiske PTO community event to support our school. Please see the Fiske Western Round-Up website for more information on how you can join in the fun.
