Dear Fiske Families,

There will be no school on Monday, October 9 in observance of Indigenous People’s Day.  Enjoy!

Please, please, please do not park on Hastings Street in front of the school or on the road leading to the lower parking lot.  This causes a great deal of congestion for cars coming and going at arrival and dismissal.  It also makes it extremely difficult for the buses to enter  the lower parking lot. It would be very helpful  to share this information with any person who will be picking up your child.  Thank you

Thank you!

Thank you Western Round-Up Co-Chairs  Jen Cohn and Christine Iracheta, and all the volunteers who worked together to make this an outstanding event.  The weather held and the Fiske community was able to come together and have a Fisketastic time.

MCAS Results

Grade three and four 2023 Spring Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) tests in English Language Arts and Mathematics results were mailed today from Central Office and should reach grade four and five parents/guardians on Saturday, October 7.

Walk to School Day

Over 130 Fiske Falcons walked or rolled to school on Wednesday. We are hoping to get even more Fiske Falcons to participate at our third Walk to School Day on Wednesday, November 1st.

Save the Date!

You are invited to join us on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 6:00-7:30 p.m.  for our Around the World with Fiske evening. This evening will be a chance to learn about the many traditions and cultures of our Fiske families.  More details regarding how families can participate will be coming soon.

Picture Day-Friday, October 13th

Picture day is Friday ,October 13th.  A backpack flier was sent home last Friday with ordering information.  Sibling pictures will not be offered this year due to previous lack of interest in purchasing pictures.

Fiske Birthday Books

The Fiske Birthday Books Program is back!  Birthday books are a wonderful way to honor students for many years to come – well beyond their birthday.

Each birthday book costs $20, and students will be able to choose from a special selection prepared by our librarian, Mrs. Allen. Once a student has chosen their birthday book, they will be able to personalize a book plate commemorating their age, and the book will be added to Fiske’s library circulation to be enjoyed by the entire school.

To buy a birthday book, please complete form and send a check, made payable to Wellesley Public Schools for $20 per book, to the Fiske main office. Be sure to include the following in the memo: Fiske bday book + child(ren)’s name(s).

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mitali (mitalibixby@gmail.com) or Dawei(pkuchendawei@gmail.com).
