Fiske Families,
There will be no school on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Please take the time this weekend to have a conversation with your child/children about the civil rights work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The cold weather is predicted to return next week. It is important to send your children to school with cold weather gear. The Fiske Falcons enjoy their recess time and go outside unless it is raining or the temperature is below 20°. If there is snow students can play in it if they have snow pants and boots. Please remember to write your child’s name on all jackets, hats, boots and mittens. If you are in need of cold weather gear please email our Social Worker Michelle DeSantis at desantism@wellesleyps.org .
On Wednesday the Fiske Creative Arts Committee brought Leah and Michael from Tape Art to work with our Kindergarten, Second and Fifth Grade Students to create tape murals in the gym and PAWS hallway. Students worked in small groups to create amazing animals, space creatures, butterflies and stars out of tape. Fourth, Third and First Grade Students will be participating in this program on March 13, 2024. Thank you to Laura Smith and Teresa Peters for arranging this Fisketastic program for our students.
