Dear Sprague Community,
Happy Heat Wave! It sure is hot here this week, but we will be wishing for this heat once the winter comes! I hope you are in a place with some water to cool off! I will be heading home to the beach to do so this afternoon!
I wanted to let you know that summer mailings will go out today so you should receive them by Monday or Tuesday. There are 2 items: a letter with your child’s class assignment and also a larger packet with information and forms from the PTO. There are some forms that need to be returned to the school office in that packet along with directions about online payments and registrations for certain things. I am attaching the printed form for before school care should your family need that. Sprague offers before school care each day from 7:00-8:15 for $450 per semester. We prefer online registration (on the website) but if you are unable to register online, you may use the form and pay by credit card or check. I am also attaching a ‘save the date’ list for you. This list is also included in the PTO packet.
I do need to give a reminder about the new School Committee Policy regarding dogs on school property. Parents will not be able to bring dogs with them when walking on school grounds beginning this year. I know dogs are really part of many families and that many of you enjoy walking here with your dog, but we will not be able to have them on the grounds. Thank you for your understanding.
I am excited to see everyone back here on August 31st! Our custodians are busy cleaning the school so it will be sparkly clean for the start of school. Many thanks to Scott, Rob, and Luigi for their hard work! I feel very lucky to be part of our Sprague School community and continue to marvel at what a happy school we have. If you are new to Sprague, we welcome you! If you are returning for another year with us, we are so glad you will be back! I am looking forward to seeing the smiling faces on August 31st!
