Dear Sprague Community,
Our annual Day of Play will take place tomorrow. It is a fun opportunity for creativity and teamwork using recycled materials. All grades will participate. Some creations will be individual creations and others may be the result of a team effort. Students will negotiate and decide who gets to take the creation home at the end of the day if it is a team effort. As we have said, students are invited to create something that does a job, something you can play with, or something you can wear. We can’t wait to see what they come up with! We are still collecting recycled items so feel free to send more in tomorrow! Thank you.
PLEASE check our lost and found if you are missing any items. We will be donating items that are not claimed by mid January.
We will collect gently used coats and jacket for Coats for Kids until Jan. 5th, 2018.
Our annual school geography bee will take place in January. Students in grades 4 and 5 have participated in the initial phase by taking a geography test in class. This ‘Bee’ is sponsored by National Geographic. 4th grade teacher Moe Henzel chairs the event and is pleased to announce the finalists. Congratulations to all 4th and 5th graders who took part in the classroom level bees. There were some close finishes in many classes. Students at Sprague School know a lot about geography. Remember: Without Geography, You’re Nowhere!
