Dear Sprague Community,

I’ve seen so many parents this week and know that your child’s teacher has been busy organizing parent conferences. It is so beneficial to have this time to meet face to face to discuss how each child is progressing. Thanks to all the parents for making the time for these important conversations and thanks to our teachers for all they do to support both social and academic learning for our students.

Staffing News

This week, we welcomed Sharon Kahn back in the nurse’s office who returned from her medical leave for hand surgery. We should be back to our regular schedule of having Ms. Kahn in the nurse’s office Monday through Thursday and Ms. Falb on Fridays.

Congratulations to OT Elisha Huff on the birth of her 5th child, Nava.

Lastly, we wish TA Kevin Rodis all the best as he has moved on to a substitute teaching position in another district.

If you are visiting the Wellesley Free Library this week, please check out the WPS Art Show.

Peer Mentoring

The Peer Mentoring program pairs selected Wellesley High School students with interested Sprague students.  Once a week, high school mentors come to Sprague to help students with homework and other needs.  This is a great opportunity for your child to receive additional help with homework after school on a regular basis! It also allows children to build a positive and supportive relationship with a local high school student.

For Whom: Sprague students

Where and When: At Sprague every Tuesday from 3:05pm to 4:00pm.  This program will run from October 23rd-November 20th.  These are the scheduled dates for the program: Tuesdays: May 8, 15, 22, 29; June 5
