Each year, Sprague teachers make a Summer Reading Video to remind students to read during the summer. As we know, students who read in the summer maintain reading gains and those who do not are at risk for regression in reading skills and reading level. You might recall the Teacher Video from our Open House that had a Growth Mindset theme….”One Foot in Front of the Other.” The Summer Reading Video continues with the idea of perseverance and grit and not giving up when something is hard.
