Dear Sprague Community,
This week is a National Week of celebrating technology in education and the “Hour of Code.” Ms. J has coding opportunities planned for library classes for grades 1-5. We shared the Coding website last week and Ms. J has created a Sprague site with resources tailored to our school.

This year, MCAS testing for grades 3-5 will be computer based. Since we are fortunate enough to have ipad carts in each classroom for these grades, our students will be very familiar with the devices they will use to take the test. Our ipads all have cases with built in keyboards. Please see the testing schedule for the spring below. As always, we ask that parents do their best to ensure that their children are in school on testing days and refrain from planning vacations during the testing window.
Our annual Day of Play takes place on Wednesday, December 19th. It is fun day full of creativity and design opportunities. This year, we are planning some new design challenges and will once again be looking for donations of specific items, both recycled and recyclable. Please consider sending items beginning Dec. 10th. Thank you.
