Dear Sprague Community,

We had a great School Gathering last Friday. We reminded students to keep that Growth Mindset and not give up when things get challenging. Our nurse, Ms. Babicz shared how she is training for a 180-mile charity bike ride in Maine. She told the kids that she has fallen off her bike a few times and that training wasn’t fun at first. Now that she is more comfortable with the shoes, gear, and pace, she is really looking forward to the event. 5thgrade teacher, Ms. Banthin shared that she has run the Boston Marathon 11 times. She wasn’t able to finish the first year, but kept training and has successfully finished each time since. We also had some 5thgraders share talents they have worked hard to develop. Vincent Zilioli sang for us. Sydney Haddad shared a video of her tumbling skills including many flips! Nick Shrewsberry demonstrated his basketball skills. Anisha Sankar did a violin solo. They all shared that they practiced a lot and really loved what they did! What an inspiration for all of us!
