Dear Sprague Families,
Always first, hello.
I am most grateful to everyone for their understanding and support during this difficult time. First and foremost, please take care of yourselves and all your loved ones.
I do believe in the importance of finding the bright side. As challenging and confusing as this is for everyone, having time with family is always a gift. Please enjoy this gift of time with family.
I had the pleasure of spending all day Friday with my Wellesley colleagues. Together we addressed all topics related to the COVID-19 and the impact of closing schools. These topics are all a work-in-progress, but it is comforting to be a part of the larger plan. As these details unfold, the information will be shared with all Wellesley families.
I do ask for your patience during this time specifically in terms of requests for student learning. One of the many topics being planned during our collaborative work is that of remote learning. As the Superintendent’s Friday afternoon email stated, additional details on this specific topic will be shared mid-week next week. This allows the District to continue its planning. Your patience is much appreciated!
I have shared the following with a few families as a result of learning requests:
In the spirit of consistent communication for all, I have asked the teachers to share “learning requests” from parents with me. Our shared goal is to make sure that all of our students/parents receive the same message regarding all things related to learning, etc.
On Friday, I had the pleasure of collaborating with many Wellesley colleagues to make decisions and put specific plans in place for student learning during this two-week time period. As this is a continued work-in-progress, please know that next week the District will share the details of this work with students/families.
We all appreciate your support with this process! In the meantime, please enjoy the family.
