Kathleen Brophy

Kathleen joined the Fitness and Health Staff in 2007, after teaching in the Brockton Public Schools and the Medfield Public Schools for the past 15 years. Kathleen earned her AB in Human Development from Boston College, a degree in Physical Education and Health from Bridgewater State College, and her M.ED from Cambridge College. She is a certified yoga instructor and Impact instructor. Kathleen is a member of the crisis response team, as well as faculty advisor for the Impact Club. She is also the varsity softball coach.

Kathleen and her staff were awarded the northeast region coaching staff of the year in 2000 by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for her team’s 2000 Division I State Championship at Brockton High School. Kathleen enjoys ballroom dancing and playing with her daughter in her spare time.

John Griffith

John has been a Fitness and Health teacher at Wellesley High School since 1996. He graduated from Walpole High School in 1990. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from Springfield College in 1995, and a Masters of Education degree in Administration from Cambridge College in 2003.

John has been a Wellesley Assistant football coach since 1996, a Wellesley Assistant Baseball Coach from 1998 until 2001 and from 2005 to the present. He was the Wellesley Head Wrestling Coach from 1996 until 2000, a Wellesley Assistant Wrestling Coach since 2004 , and a Wellesley Assistant Track Coach from 1996 until 1997. John was a W.H.S. Class Advisor from 2003-2005, and a Wellesley Speed and Conditioning Clinic Co-Founder from 2003 to the present.

John Mulryan

Mr. John Mulryan is in his second year at Wellesley Middle School. He graduated from  Worcester State College with a degree in health education and recently received his masters degree from The United States Sports Academy, in sports science with a concentration in fitness. He is currently teaching health, fitness and the adapted physical education. In his spare time John also is a personal trainer and basketball coach. He enjoys working out, triathlons, and coaching.

Matt Wassel

Matt has been a Fitness and Health teacher at Wellesley High School since 2002. He graduated from Walpole High School in 1991, and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2002, he earned a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College.

He has been the Wellesley Head Wrestling Coach from 2003 to the present, and the Wellesley Assistant Football Coach since 2002. Matt was a W.H.S. Class Advisor from 2003 until 2005, and a Wellesley Speed and Conditioning Clinic Co-Founder from 2003 until the present.
