Today is November 4th and it is Day 1

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating today? Today is the Hindu festival of Diwali.

Diwali is the 5-day festival of lights, and it celebrates a variety of Hindu gods and goddesses. The festival signifies the victory of light over darkness or good over evil. Its celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops, outside doors and windows, around temples and other buildings in the communities and countries where it is observed. The festival typically extends over a five-day period, but the main festival night of Diwali coincides with the darkest, new moon night of the Hindu lunar month.

There are students at WMS who will be observing this holiday.  We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, “Happy Diwali.”

To all students in the dungeons and dragons club: Please check your email Friday. You will be receiving your session dates. If you were assigned to the fall/winter group, your first session is Monday after school in room 311. If you filled out the Google form but do not receive an email by Friday afternoon, please contact Ms. Cohen

Lunch will be outside today!

Thank you everyone and enjoy your day!
