~Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating starting this week? Sunday night began the 8 day Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Hanukkah is the Jewish festival of rededication, also known as the Festival of Lights. Jewish people celebrate the holiday by lighting candles, eating traditional fried foods and spending time with family. It has become a custom of some Jews in the United States to also get gifts on the holiday.
There are students and faculty at WMS who will be observing Hanukkah. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy Hanukkah!
~Today is Picture Retake Day for anyone who has not had their picture taken, we will be calling students today by grade on the PA, Period 1 grade 6, Period 2 grade 7 and Period 3 grade 8.
~For intramurals today the fitness center is open and Basketball will be in Gym A. If you signed up please make sure you check in with the teacher, if you cannot make it please email Ken Johnson. Please look at the intramural Bulletin Board across from the Main Office. If you still want to sign up for Intramurals please look at the QR code on the intramural bulletin board.
~The Maker Club, Group B, will meet today after school in room 300.
~Today after school from 3:00-5:30 p.m. There will be tryouts for the boys basketball team. All those wishing to try out please wait in the cafeteria till 3:00p.m.
~All Red Cross Members: There will be NO meeting today after school. Please plan to make sure you have transportation home after school. The next meeting will be December 7th.
~Today is the first day of auditions for Frozen, Jr.! Anyone auditioning should report to the auditorium right after school today. Break a leg!
~When you get your lunch please purchase everything at that time you would like to eat as you will not be permitted to return to the cafeteria.
~Tomorrow Wednesday December 1st is a half Day. We will have periods will run 1-7 and we will be calling the bells. Department meetings will be in the afternoon and all students need to leave the building at the end of the school day.
The Lost and Found table and rack are still filled with clothes wanting their owner. Please come by and look to see if something is yours.
