~Day 4

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community celebrated yesterday? Yesterday began the holiday of Lunar New Year and welcomes the Year of the Rabbit.

Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday in China, Korea and east, and south east Asian countries. The holiday includes family-centered activities such as having a New Years Eve Feast, staying up on New Years Eve, visiting family and friends, eating special foods, and paying respect to ancestors. In some countries the celebration lasts for 2 weeks and ends on the 15th day of the New Year.

There are students at WMS who will be observing this holiday.  We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy New Year!

The nurses will be conducting postural screening during PE periods on Thursday, January 26th and Friday, January 27th. If you are excused from PE due to an injury or medical reason, please go to the locker rooms instead of study hall so you can have your screening done.

Tuesday evening, 8th grader Band members will participate in the annual Step Up Concert in the WHS Auditorium.  It should be a great night of music.

Have a good day everyone!
