Spirit Week starts next week! Monday is Wacky Sock Day

Lost and found is starting to pile up again.  Please stop by the Main Office to check on any items you may have lost.  Any leftover clothing will be donated over the February break.

Our annual WMS Mini Marathon will be here before you know it. Each year we ask students to design a t-shirt to commemorate this event. We are looking for a 6th or 7th grade student to design a t-shirt to be worn specifically for the mini marathon. Grade 8 students are invited to design a t-shirt for the marathon, but it will also be worn for other grade 8 activities.

Entries should be an original design on an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper. The deadline for submission to the Main Office is Friday, March 3rd. If you have any questions, please stop by the office.

The answer to yesterday’s STARS Black History Month trivia question is Richard Theodore Greener. Richard Theodore Greener was the first African American to graduate from Harvard University in 1870.

Today’s STARS Black History Month fact is:

Black History Month originated in 1926 by Carter Godwin Woodson. February was chosen to honor the births of  Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.

Have a good day everyone!
