Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community have been celebrating?
March 20th began the Persian holiday of Nowruz. Nowruz, or Persian New Year, is an ancient festival celebrating the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. For some, the celebrations last for 1 day and for others the celebrations last for 13 days. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the past and set intentions for the future. Persian New Year has been observed for more than 3,000 years in different regions, including the Balkans, Central Asia, and the Middle East. There are students at WMS who will be observing this holiday. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy New Year!
Have a good day everyone!
