~Day 4

Are you interested in discussing and learning more about what makes our differences valuable in the WMS community? During all three lunch periods on Monday, April 10th, our WMS club, Students Talking About Race Skillfully (STARS) will meet in Room 203 to expand on identity, race, and being an anti-racist. If you are interested, please sign up through QR codes posted in the main office and throughout the building.

GSA members are invited to Room 203 after school to make and hang up posters for the Day of Silence.

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend? Friday is the Christian holiday of Good Friday and Sunday is the Christian holiday of Easter. Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus. Good Friday, one of the holiest days for Christians, is a sorrowful holiday which is spent in reflection.  Easter commemorates the day that Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead. Easter is a day of joy and celebration. Christians often go to church, which are filled with flowers to represent new life. Easter Day is the end of Lent and means the end of some people’s fasting. There are students at WMS who will be observing Good Friday and Easter this weekend.  We wish all people at WMS observing these holidays, a “thoughtful Good Friday,” and a “Happy Easter”.

Have a good day everyone!
