On Saturday, 24 members of the 7th and 8th grade WMS Performing Arts Program auditioned for the Junior District chorus, band, jazz band, and orchestra. The singers and instrumentalists completed an audition that included a prepared piece, scales, and a sight reading they had never seen before. We are so proud of the students’ excellent preparation and supportive kindness toward peers and other schools in this intense experience. Participants can see their ensemble teacher for their audition results today!

The WPS District Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council student group is now accepting new students for the second semester! They will be hosting many fun activities such as movies, science experiments about identity and student experiences, music lyric analysis, games, and more! To start off the new quarter, the Council will be hosting a student art poster making competition. If you like digital art, painting, drawing, or sketching please come to tomorrow’s meeting after school in Mr. Goldman’s Room 101.
Magic the Gathering Club is canceled tomorrow, Tuesday, January 30th.
