Congratulations to the WMS Math Team on their successful meet this past Saturday at the Meadowbrook School in Weston. Out of over 150 competitors, 6th grader Andrew Liu finished 10th and 7th grader Bright Zhang placed first! Bright will advance to the state meet next month. Kudos to the entire WMS team on a great showing.

Starting today, it’s National School Counselors week! Every day, school counselors work to make a difference in the lives of students. Please give a shout out to all of our counselors: Ms. Caveney, Ms. Chandler, Mr. Craft, Ms. D’Allesandro, Ms. Derissaint, Ms. Dufour, Ms. Mahoney and Ms. Rogers!!
Today starts our WMS Black History Month Trivia contest. Our first question is: Who created Black History Week and what year did it begin?
If you think you know the answer, come down to the main office to submit your entry. Tomorrow, we will reveal the answer and ask a new question. Winners will be drawn at the end of the week.
The next Girls in STEM meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 6th after school in Ms. Gilbert’s Room, Room 109. The High School Women in STEM Club will be joining us again. All students are welcome.
