Extra! Extra! WMS Drama presents Newsies Jr. tomorrow! Tickets are available online at wellesleyps.org/performingarts – you won’t want to miss this! If you don’t have an adult chaperone present, you will be asked to sit in a student section regardless of the seat assigned on your ticket. Students are expected to act in accordance with our Student Handbook during the performances. We want to give our full respect to the cast and crew for all their hard work on making this event happen.
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community are celebrating? Today begins the Persian holiday of Nowruz. Nowruz, or Persian New Year, is an ancient festival celebrating the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The celebrations last for 13 days, and it is an opportunity to reflect on the past and set intentions for the future. Persian New Year has been observed for more than 3,000 years in different regions, including the Balkans, Central Asia, and the Middle East. There are students at WMS who will be observing this holiday. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy New Year!
Have a good day everyone!
