Attention 7th Graders: Counselors will be teaching Course Selection for Grade 8 today during Social Studies classes. Signs will be posted outside Social Studies classrooms with instructions on where to go.
Attention all students: please remember to fill out the Google Form with your t-shirt size for the Mini Marathon today by the end of the day.
Headline: Newsies Jr. cast and crew shine at WMS! Congratulations to all on an amazing opening night. If you didn’t get to see the show last night, you have three more chances: the “Once and For All” cast tonight at 7 pm and tomorrow at 2 pm, and the “Seize the Day” Cast tomorrow at 7 pm. All students need an adult chaperone present or you will be directed to sit in a student section regardless of the assigned seat on your ticket. If you are present at the play, there should be no talking during the performance, no cell phones out, and you must clean up after yourself, (no littering).
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating? Saturday evening starts the Jewish celebration of Purim. Purim celebrates the story of how Esther saved the Jews from Haman who plotted to eliminate them. People celebrate by reading the story of Esther, wearing costumes, and eating special triangular cookies called hamantaschen which are shaped like Haman’s hat. There are students at WMS who will be observing this holiday. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy Holidays!
