~Today is Thursday, April 11, 2024, Day 3

~Block rotation: C, A, B, Advisory, D, G, E, F

~Lunch: 6, 8, 7

The central elevator is now working. Students should only be using the elevators if they have pre-approval from the nurses.

Congratulations to the 8th grade chorus on they’re wonderful performance at the State House yesterday.  You represented our school and community well with your talent and behavior in Boston.

Today some of your classmates will be observing the Day of Silence.  Today is a day where individuals take a vow of silence to show support for the LGBTQ community who feel silenced and marginalized by society for being their authentic selves.  Students who are participating will have a participation card they will be carrying and might be wearing a rainbow sticker to show their support. Students, we ask that you please respect your peers’ vow of silence.  Even if you are not participating, please respect their decision to do so.  If you are participating, but find yourself having a difficult time observing the Day of Silence, it doesn’t mean that you’ve done anything wrong. Today is meant to be symbolic for students in our community that don’t feel like they can be their authentic selves. All decisions to participate are a personal choice and should not be judged. If you are participating in the Day of Silence and would like a quiet room to eat lunch, you can meet in Room 216. Finally, The WMS GSA would like to thank all students and faculty for their support of this important day. The Day of Silence for students officially begins NOW.

There will be a Faculty Meeting after school today. All students must plan to leave the building immediately at the 2:29 dismissal bell. There will be no afternoon activities in the building except for Spring play rehearsal. Students in the Spring play DO have rehearsal, but due to Ms. Speed being in the Faculty meeting, you must leave and return at 3:30. This is a full cast rehearsal. If you are unable to make it, please email Ms. Speed.

The yearbook order deadline is fast approaching. You only have two more days to order yours. If you need any assistance with ordering, please contact Ms. Steinberg or Ms. Martell before Friday afternoon, April 12th.

Lost and found is starting to pile up again. Please stop by the main office to check on any items you may have lost. Any leftover clothing may be donated over April break.

Have a good day everyone!
