Congratulations to the Band, Orchestra, and Chorus students that performed this weekend in the Junior District Music Festival. You did a lot to prepare at home and it was wonderful to see you continue to be musical leaders as you rehearsed and performed with musicians from the greater Boston area. Select members of the 6th grade Chorus performed spectacularly well alongside an adult orchestra and choir in a sold out performance of Carmina Burana. Their beautifully blended sound and mastery of the Latin lyrics, along with their musicianship and good behavior reflected very well on WMS, which can lead to more opportunities for our future musicians.
Congratulations goes out to the Science Olympiad team, who competed this weekend in the state competition at Assumption University. They brought home many ribbons and medals and represented our school well. Their hard work and perseverance really paid off. Go Raiders!
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
