There is a Faculty Training after school today. All students must plan to leave the building immediately at the 2:29 dismissal bell.
There will be no afternoon activities and therefore no Boston or Wellesley late buses. There will be no 8th grade tutoring for students in the METCO program. The library will also be closed after school. If you are in the cast of the Drowsy Chaperone, you still have rehearsal after school in the Auditorium and must report directly there for the entire time. All staff, please check our Faculty Google Classroom for the Zoom link and log in at 2:40 for a 2:45 start.
We are one week away from the opening of the winter musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, Jr.! Tickets are on sale online or at the door for $10. All students who come without an adult chaperone should purchase tickets in advance and will be seated in the student section. Performances are Thursday, March 20 at 4:30, Friday, March 21 at 7:00, and Saturday, March 22 at 2:00 and 7:00.
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating? This evening starts the Jewish celebration of Purim. Purim celebrates the story of how Queen Esther saved the Jews from Haman who plotted to eliminate them. People celebrate by reading the story of Queen Esther, wearing costumes, and eating special triangular cookies called a hamantaschen which is shaped like Haman’s hat. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy Holidays!
Have a good day everyone!
